Harlan Delivers 18 Custom Classic HT Tractors to Support Our International Clients in East Asia
Harlan Global Manufacturing LLC

At Harlan, we take pride in building ground support equipment that performs reliably in the most demanding environments. We’re excited to share the completion of a recent order for our international aviation clients, consisting of 18 Harlan Classic HT tractors, designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of our clients' ground support needs.

This project reflects not only the durability of the Harlan Classic HT platform, but also our ability to deliver consistent, high‑quality equipment at scale—on time and built to last.

Built on a Proven Platform: The Harlan Classic HT

The Classic HT is a time‑tested baggage and cargo tractor engineered specifically for airport ramp and ground support operations. Known for its rugged construction and long‑term reliability, this tractor model continues to be a trusted solution for customers who depend on dependable, medium‑duty towing performance day in and day out.

For this order, all 18 tractors were built to a diesel configuration, delivering a 5,000 lb drawbar pull, well‑suited for consistent baggage, cargo, and material transport operations in demanding GSE environments.

Each unit was outfitted with:

  • Durable diesel powertrains
  • Metal cab assemblies with full doors
  • Configurations designed to support daily operational reliability and operator comfort

The result is a fleet of tractors ready to perform in high‑utilization, mission‑critical applications.

Designed for Durability
and Customization

For this international order, Harlan’s focus was on delivering a configuration that balanced long‑term durability with practical, real‑world operability. Rather than over‑customizing, each Classic HT was purpose‑built with features selected to support consistent performance, ease of use, and serviceability over time.

Standardizing the fleet around a 5,000 lb drawbar pull diesel configuration allowed for uniform capability across all 18 units, while enclosed metal cabs with full doors were specified to increase structural durability and provide reliable operator protection in daily operations. These decisions were driven by the need for equipment that can maintain uptime and performance under sustained use.

The Classic HT’s configurable architecture enables this kind of targeted customization—allowing Harlan’s engineering and manufacturing teams to align equipment specifications with customer requirements while preserving the platform’s proven reliability. The result is a fleet that integrates seamlessly into existing ground operations, supports consistent operator experience, and delivers dependable performance across its service life.

This approach reflects Harlan’s commitment to building equipment that is not only customized, but thoughtfully engineered to perform reliably in demanding, mission‑critical environments.

Supporting On‑Time Delivery and Operational Readiness

The 18-unit order is currently in delivery, with all tractors scheduled to ship within the coming weeks. Despite the scale of the order, Harlan was able to complete production within a compressed timeframe, demonstrating both manufacturing agility and disciplined execution.

From initial configuration through final assembly, the project was managed to maintain build consistency across the fleet while meeting an accelerated delivery schedule. This focus on efficiency—without compromising quality—allowed each unit to be produced, inspected, and prepared for deployment in a timely manner.

Meeting demanding delivery timelines while maintaining attention to detail is a core part of Harlan’s commitment. This project highlights our ability to support operational readiness by delivering purpose‑built equipment that is ready to integrate into service shortly after arrival.

A Partnership Built on Performance

Projects like this reflect what defines Harlan’s approach to ground support equipment manufacturing: durable platforms, disciplined customization, and a production process shaped by real‑world operational demands. Delivering a fleet of Classic HT tractors for international operations highlights how these principles come together in support of mission‑critical operations.

"The Harlan Classic HT has built its reputation by performing reliably day after day in demanding ground support environments.
This project demonstrates how we apply proven durability while tailoring each build to meet specific operational needs, delivering equipment our customers can rely on over the long term.”
